SUMMARY:AI for\, not instead of\, education
DESCRIPTION:If you are a student (or faculty) you’ve probably gotten advertising about “great” AI services and tools that will supposedly do your work for you\, for a monthly fee. (Note: it doesn’t usually work that way.) But there really are some tools that can help\, and many are free. Join us in Buley Library to discuss some of these tools (how to use AI chat tools for fact checking\, Asta for article searching\, Google NotebookLM for study help\, Goblin Tools for time management and word-smithing\, and more if we have time) and the practical and ethical considerations of using AI to advance your education and assist your work.
