- Public Utilities Management: The management focus allows ample flexibility, from an individual career viewpoint, to foundation knowledge and skills that are suitable for advancing into a wide variety of middle and upper level management positions within corporations. By highlighting successful organizational processes and practices, this concentration helps participants understand a wide variety of managerial concerns as well as analytical and administrative techniques commonly used to address them;
- Finance for Public Utilities: Finance courses present higher level financial skills needed for institutional and economic development and present areas of specialization including; 1) corporation finance; 2) investment and financial markets; and, 3) depository institution management; and,
- Public Policy Module: Certain aspects of utility regulation and policy are especially critical for enabling and supporting utility energy efficiency programs. State policymakers and regulators provide clear direction to regulated utilities about the importance of energy efficiency. A recent trend has been for states to establish specific energy savings targets (typically as a percentage of total energy sales) for regulated utilities. Such energy efficiency resource standards (EERS) are in place in a large and rapidly growing number of states.
