Any graduate student with 9 completed graduate credits at Southern may apply for available scholarships. You will be automatically matched to any scholarship whose criteria you meet.

Internal Scholarships

Southern CT Accelerated Pathway Graduate Scholarship

Who’s Eligible:

Graduate students who completed a Southern CT accelerated pathway undergraduate program and are enrolled at least half-time in a graduate degree program.

Award:

$1,000 per year, renewable for one additional year.

Selection:

Awards are based on a composite score of undergraduate and graduate GPAs (graduate weighted higher).

How to Apply:

Students are automatically eligible based on above criteria and will be contacted if selected. 

External Scholarships

  • Who it supports: A graduate student demonstrating outstanding commitment to civic engagement and advocacy for individuals who have been systematically excluded
  • Award amount: $20,000

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education is a need-based grant program providing one-time financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that improves their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families.

The purpose of the Scholarship Fund is to assist Connecticut residents, or an immediate family member (spouse or child) of an EPOC Member in good standing, who are enrolled in accepted programs of study, preparing the student to become a Technical Environmental Professional or a professional in a related service discipline who may render technical assistance to the Technical Environmental Professional.

Annually, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Foundation offers a $2,000 scholarship to professional members of Hispanic descent who are currently enrolled full-time in a technical career field in the United States or Puerto Rico. Qualified candidates must be pursuing their first master’s or doctoral degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics graduate program at least half-time with a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher.
