Holly Pinto, a student in our Assistive Technology Program has recently made great contributions in her field! Holly published an article titled Breaking the Silence: A Parent’s Guide to Understanding Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for Autistic Children in the summer issue of Autism Spectrum News. The goal of this article was to reduce the stigma around communication supports for parents. This article and it’s research was conducted for her 6th year independent study in adaptive technology.
