Yi‑Chun Tricia Lin (林怡君) is a 17th‑generation daughter of Taiwan who has dedicated her life to justice, peace, and the decolonization of the mind. She is Professor and long‑time Chair of the Women’s & Gender Studies Department at Southern Connecticut State University, where she has led with vision and commitment for more than twenty years.

She is;

  • Past President, National Women’s Studies Association
  • Former President, Women’s Caucus for Modern Languages
  • Board member: CT Humanities Council; Peace Development Fund
  • Co‑founder: Coalition of Women’s & Gender Studiesin Connecticut and Rhode Island
  • Active partner with community organizations including the African American Women’s Summit, Connecticut Health Equity Leadership Council, New Haven League of Women Voters, and West Haven Black Coalition

Her international works;

  • Senior Fulbright Scholar (2018), National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan
  • Ongoing research on Taiwan Indigenous women’s
    cultural production as resistance and resurgence

Dr. Lin is an accomplished scholar and a deeply valued member of our university community. She is known for her tireless advocacy, generous mentorship, and unwavering commitment to justice. Her dedication, integrity, and pride in representing our university elevate everyone around her.
