A recent graduate from Southern’s STEM MBA in Accounting program, Jahmai Scarlett is currently working as a Tax Intern at Beers, Hamerman, Cohen & Burger (BHCB). During his time at Southern, Jahmai was a Werth Industry Academic Fellow, and he had the opportunity to work with various startups such as Cool Amps and VIRV on renewable energy and battery recycling projects. He also worked as a Graduate Assistant and University Assistant for the Graduate school, allowing him to build professional skills while simultaneously contributing to the campus community.
On his experience, Jahmai states:
“The best part of my time at Southern was the professors and the people I connected with. The community and networking opportunities really stood out and opened doors for me. Having the chance to be part of fellowships, assistantships, and hands-on projects gave me experiences that directly helped me get to where I am today. I’m grateful for those opportunities and proud to be a Southern alum.”
Congratulations to Jahmai on all of his achievements!
