Britt Conroy is a two-time graduate of SCSU, and serves as the Coordinator for Veteran, Military, and Adult Learner Services here at Southern Connecticut State University. She earned her BA in Psychology in 2016 and her MPH in Public Health in 2020.

Previously, Britt was a student worker in both the Veterans Center and the First Year Experience Office, as well as the Undergraduate Exploratory Academic
Advisor from February 2020 until being appointed as the Coordinator for Veteran, Military, and Adult Learner Services in July 2022. Britt is also an adjunct instructor at SCSU, and has recently been named both the Connecticut Veteran of the Year and the 2025 National Veteran of the Year for the Air Force by Military Friendly. On her graduate experience, she states:

“I enjoyed my time in graduate school very much. I had wonderful experiences with our outstanding faculty in my courses throughout the MPH program. I feel
incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work as a graduate research assistant with Dr. Aukje Lamonica on the Suburban Opiate Study and with Dr. Deborah Flynn on the Veterans Yoga Project during my time in the MPH program. I have been able to use the knowledge gained through my special project to offer mindfulness meditation sessions to students, faculty, and staff, and I feel the MPH program, coupled with the knowledge I gained through my undergraduate degree in psychology have helped me immensely in my current role serving our Veteran, Military and Adult Learners.”

Congratulations to Britt on all of her achievements!
