Lee Bowbeer, LCSW is a doctoral student in the School of Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University. His recent book review of What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing by Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey was published in the School Social Work Journal (Fall 2025 issue).
The review, which began as a course assignment, explores trauma-informed practices and the application of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics in school social work settings. Lee currently works at Greenwich High School, where he applies these approaches to support students and their families.
